Its Fair Time!

Yup, its that time again- the Fair is in town!! This time the weather was perfect- warm but not hot, a bit on the windy side. Tony had a blast riding all the rides this year- its good to be tall!! Ok, so it was just the kiddie rides, Mom and Dad weren't up for him on the big rides yet... although he did talk Mom onto the Ferris Wheel...

Me too!!

Meagan loves to do anything Tony is doing. So when he finished riding his tricycle the other day, Meagan snatched the helmet and tried her darndest to climb up on and ride....

Last Day of School

Ok, so school ended last Thursday, but pictures are always better late than never, right??

The school put on a water-fun day for the Pre-k and Kindergarten classes for their last day of school. Lots of fun carnival type activities- gunny sack races, watermellon seed spitting contests, face painting, bubbles, GAK, ring toss, you get the picture.... The squirt guns were a favorite stop for Tony and his friends. Tony had a ball (and Meagan too!) and held it together really well, all day. (He was VERY sad that school was ending. It seems to be short lived- he's pretty much over it now!)

I think the face painting was the biggest hit of the day, although almost no one actually had their faces done- most opted for the hands or arms. Here are Tony's choices:

It wasn't until we got home that Daddy put it together: Tony was riding the money train.....

Things to come...

I thought I'd tease those who like to quilt with a little sample of what's to come for Meagan's quilt. I fell in love with the Simplicity line from Moda's 3 Sisters and had to get started. Here are a few blocks that are ready to be put together...

Graduation Day

Congratulations Tony!!

Today was the Pre-Kindergarten Class Graduation at Manzanita Elementary. Very exciting day for these little guys- now, if only they could figure out what graduation is all about....We heard several of Tony's classmates, and Tony himself, asking what graduation was for. We couldn't tell him it meant the end of school and now he was ready to go to kindergarten- technically they are still in school until Thursday- very confusing for the little guys! Due to scheduling issues, today was the only day they could hold their ceremony. But they were pleased with themselves, and really liked the cake and punch at the party that was afterwards. Even better was the impromptu lunch at Red Robins that most of the class ended up attending! Fun times!

The class sang a couple of their favorite songs for us before the ceremony, enjoy! (Tony is in the back row on the right side. He's wearing a red shirt.
