Hammin' it up, part 2

Here's some shots of the little ham, and one of the big ham...

Its the Spring Festival!!

Tony's school puts on a show each spring, called the Spring Festival. Today it was a trip to the circus for all the moms and dads. They have been practicing their little hearts out for this big performance and for most of the Pre-K kids it was their first time in front of a big crowd. The Pre-k class got to be the train (very exciting for Tony!) while the kindergarten classes were the elephants and lions, 1st graders were the popcorn, and the 2nd graders were the clowns. I wish we could have stayed for the rest of the program, but Meagan decided she had seen enough of the circus for one day, so home we came.

Here's a little movie- not the best seat in the house, but you get the picture...

Long time, no hear from....

Hi! Yes, we are still alive!! The past month has gone by way too quickly- lots of road trips and visiting. We have been out of town every weekend since the last weekend of April. It started with a trip down to Brentwood to visit with Grandma Marlene on her birthday. Then it was up to the Lake to visit Nana & Papa for a long weekend. Tom was helping with the construction that has recently gotten underway. They are building a new garage and remodeling the house.

**GOOD NEWS: My parents are moving home!! (There, I can finally say it on the blog!) They will be back mid-June, Mom for good and Dad will still work part time in Chile, but will be based from the States. Yipeee! We can't wait to have them back!**

After that it was Mother's Day, which we were here for, but Tom had to work Saturday and Sunday we spent in a little town called Gerber, where there is this incredible model train layout. This man has spent the last 58 years working on a replica of the rails from Gerber all the way up to Dunsmuir (a little over 100 miles long). He has built everything from the depots (most of which are no longer standing) to the engines, and murals on the walls of the surrounding mountains. It was fascinating. Unfortunately, the camera is still acting up- so no pics.

Last weekend brought Grandmama's birthday- we all took a little trip up to Manton and had a BBQ with the Sons of Norway. Lots of fun. It was also cousin Marina's first communion- so Sunday we took a trip down to Richmond for that. The kids had lots of fun playing with their cousins- Tony especially loved the pool! He has been taking swim lessons with his buddy Karen and is making great progress.

Lots of driving, but lots of fun too! We are thoroughly enjoying this weekend. We don't have to be anywhere or do anything. 3 days of doing nothing- woohoo!! I'll post pictures soon....
